Flickr: Do more with your photos

Look at the cool new things you can do with FlickR! I just found about about this from Jim Heid's Mac iLife O5 Site

Another ADE pointed the group to Jim Heid's work months ago, and I did by his book. I also used the his Life Poster Workflowto create posters of last year's students. It's a really neat project if you are using OS X Tiger. However, with the new FlickR features, maybe it's not necessary to make a Life Poster. From browsing the FlickR site briefly, it looks like their posters and photo books are cheaper than the ones made via iPhoto.

Our Professional Development Day I've been a member of the faculty at the Lab Schools for five years now, and professional development has been traditionally a do-it-yourself thing. Occassionally, we've had some great speakers such as Dr. Mel Levine, and Stephen Nowicki from Emory University. We've also had the opportunity to attend the ISACS conference, too. Genereally, though, this once a year event has not been a particularly unified event. This year, our professional development day was really envigorating.
